STUDENTS

ALIVE Wesleyan Student Ministries (AWSM) exists to reach spiritually hungry students, introduce them to Jesus Christ, and connect them to Christian community.  When this takes place, students learn to own their own faith, own the Church, and own the mission of God in their everyday lives.

We lead our students in this direction in three primary moments of their week; Wednesday Night, Sunday Morning, and Sunday Night. Here's a glimpse of each moment.

wednesday nights :: 6:30-8:00 p.m. ::

On Wednesdays Nights teens in 6th-12th grade converge for a recharging, challenging experience right in the middle of their week. A typical Wednesday night starts when we sign in and hang out for a few minutes before the doors open — this is where we get to catch up with friends and meet new people. Next we move into all kinds of fun and high-energy worship. We spend some time talking through practical teaching, and break into small groups (Huddles) to reflect on and apply this teaching.

Sunday mornings :: 8:30, 10:00, 11:30 a.m. ::

Sunday Mornings are incredibly rich times at ALIVE! Students are vibrant and active in worship and service. These are two crucial ways our teens experience Christ and His Community, the Church! You'll see students in every worship experience, and parking cars, making coffee, greeting and hosting visitors, caring for kids, and helping lead worship!

sunday nights :: 5:45-7:15 p.m. ::

September 4 - December 4, 2016

Sunday Nights are built for Small Groups. These groups are a safe place to learn and ask tough questions, all while making new friends. Students meet in host homes, and are placed according to grade and gender. Each group is led by positive, background checked, and ALIVE - approved adult volunteers.
