New Territory (War Effort - Week 6)

ALIVE will become a multiplying movement.

Is this Gospel, this Jesus, worth the effort

It is time to take the inspiration and information you have received in this series, and add some perspiration.

Many of us are carrying conviction; God has burdened our hearts for the people on our lists. And perhaps more than conviction, God has given us compassion at a whole new level for the lost people in our lives. He has given us that New Testament compassion word, splongnonwhich means bowels.

God has been good to me in the past but will he take care of me in the days ahead?

Genesis 17:10–11 (ESV) 10 This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your offspring after you: Every male among you shall be circumcised. 11 You shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and you.

Genesis 17:24–25 (ESV) 24 Abraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. 25 And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

God asked Abraham to circumcise himself.

God has promised Abraham, he will be the father of multitudes and then asks for the circumcision.

God promised Abraham would be fruitful, but not through his own effort. No, God is faithful and he wanted Abraham to remember, this is not of your own strength and power.
